What are your payment terms?
We accept PayPal payments, or we offer net 30 terms to approved customers who complete a credit application and who pay for their first order on a “Cash Before Delivery” basis.
What shipping methods do you use?
Typically our products are priced “FOB Origin,” so the customer specifies the shipper and assumes the responsibility for freight costs. We have service with FedEx and DHL, and can ship larger orders with most any major surface freight or airfreight carrier. We also use freight consolidators who can save you money on larger shipments. Just ask us to help you out!
How long does it take to ship goods in stock?
Generally we ship within 48 hours. In some rare cases we may take as long as two weeks from order date (if are warehouse is closed for holidays.)
How long does it take to make and ship custom orders?
From receipt of sample approval, credit approval and written purchase order, it will take approximately eight weeks to begin delivery of custom carpet or fabric orders. Seat cushions will take 3 weeks or less. Tapestries will take 12 – 14 weeks. Other non-stock commodity items generally will ship in two to three weeks.
Do you make custom samples?
We will produce custom samples for you for full mill run orders (300 LY of carpet of upholstery fabric.) Sample delivery depends on complexity of the design and number of colors. It also depends on the amount of time you have to complete your project. Sometimes it takes longer to produce a sample, get an approval, and run production yardage than the timeline given to complete a refurbishment.
Do you service the general aviation market?
Our focus is on commercial aircraft. However, we have provided materials and parts for the general aviation market. Don’t hesitate to ask, and if we can’t help we can refer you to someone who specializes in your aircraft.How long will my carpet remain flame-resistant?
For as long as it is usable and is regularly cleaned.
Which is more economical, upholstery fabric or leather?
It depends if you want to bear a larger cost burden up front or over the life of the seat covers. Call us or email us for a more in-depth explanation.
I have a plane that has old leather covers that need replacing. I want to change the seat covers to a new color of leather. Do I have to do a new burn test?
Unfortunately, yes. Certification by Similarity for leather dress covers is not permitted under FAA regulations. New oil burner testing must be performed, but it is not that simple. Call us to learn the latest info.
