Expanded Information:
Employee-owned
and managed by a team which combines over 200 years
of experience in this specialized industry, Spectra
Interior Products represents a manufacturer that has
become the recognized leader in the manufacture of
flame-resistant and specialty foam products. The
company has a 125,000 square-foot facility for manufacturing
and fabrication, as well as a fully equipped laboratory
utilized to perform ongoing research, development
and quality control procedures.
Their latest development in seating foam, AIRFLEX,
was developed exclusively for the aircraft industry.
AIRFLEX offers compliance with the FAR 25.853(b) oil
burner test in combination with the majority of dress
covering fabrics without the need for additional “fire-blocking”
materials. Providing excellent contours and seat definition,
AIRFLEX offers substantial improvements in physical
characteristics and reductions in weights on most
cushion designs. Its excellent flammability characteristics
combined with superior comfort and durability make
AIRFLEX the ideal choice of aircraft passenger, attendant
and observer seating.
AIRFLEX
is available in a wide range of compressions to easily
achieve any desired firmness and comfort level. From
the feather-soft feel of AIRFLEX 15-25 to the extra
firm feel of AIRFLEX HD, the cushioning can be manufactured
to suit your particular requirements, regardless of
the intricacy and complexity of the seating design.
If
you manufacture cushions in-house, for your convenience
AIRFLEX is color-coded by compression to make it easy
for your interior shop to select the correct firmness
of foam from your inventory for cushion fabrication.
Although available in full sheets in various thicknesses,
many firms prefer the convenience of us supplying
AIRFLEX in contoured cut-to-shape cushions. All that
is required is the drawing, print or sample cushion.
Spectra, in turn, will supply a quotation and prototype,
which exactly duplicates the dimensions and “feel”
of the desired cushion. OEMs, airlines and completion
centers alike find that finished cushions are the
easiest and most economical way to purchase AIRFLEX.
